At Richmond Hill we grow independence, build communication and believe you can achieve your personal goals.

As part of Richmond Hill school’s ongoing safeguarding and child protection duties we are fully behind the governments PREVENT strategy.

From 2nd July 2015 all schools are subject to a duty under section 26 of the counter-terrorism and security act 2015, in the exercise of their function., to have due r4egard to the need to prevent people being drawn into terrorism.

This duty is known as the Prevent duty for schools.

At Richmond Hill we promote fundamental British values and encourage and train all to be aware of even the small changes in young people and families.

The statutory guidance refers to the importance of Prevent awareness training to equip staff with the skills to identify children at risk.

The home office has developed WRAP training for use in schools to raise awareness of Prevent. All staff in school will have Prevent training.
