Splash Park
We went to the splash park on a fabulous hot sunny day. We loved playing in the water, eating our picnic and having an ice cream. Then we played in the sand pit and at the park. Great day!

Summer 1 Update
What a fantastic start to the Summer term we had. Starting with our topic where where Jill got kidnapped by Spiderman, we continued the term being real super heroes!
Every week we took part in superhero science challenges exploring different topics. Using our Hulk strength pushing and pulling, exploring our water powers and using our magnetic skills exploring magnets. It has been great fun and we have learnt so much!
We have also been creative designing costumes, capes, and masks. We have been learning about fictional superheroes (Iron Man and the Hulk has been our favourite!) but also the real like ones who help us everyday like the police, vets and our families.
The children have been really inspired by this topic and I hope you enjoy our photos!

Welcome to Emerald Class page. We have an exciting term ahead of us. Our new topic is, ‘Let’s go Wild.’ We will be linking in Maths, Literacy and Science to this topic this half term. In the third week we will be going to Whipsnade Zoo to kick the topic off with a a big bang!
In Literacy we will be reading, ‘Supermarket Zoo,’ a story about an unusual supermarket where you can buy animals! We will be starting phonics groups to help with reading and every week we will be doing Write Dance about animals from around the world. Music and movements to help our handwriting. Our weekend news will be a speaking and listening and then writing session each week.
In Maths we will be looking at the words wide and narrow, Working on estimation in number and learning about shapes and their properties in maths. We will also work with playdough every week in Dough Disco.
Our Topic learning will be about about animals and habitats from around the world. Lots of creative activities! Cookery will be making burgers and in expressive arts we will be doing some disco moves(!) and then looking at musical theatre and the Lion King. In ICT we will be using paint packages to creating drawings and images and as always we will be in the garden helping cultivate it.
