School Development Plan

Richmond Hill School Development Plan 2024-2025

The School Development Plan is the document that drives the strategic work to develop and improve the school.  The plan gives everyone in the school community a clear vision and sense of purpose for improvement.

Our approach to school development planning aims to ensure that our development work is robust, thorough and leads to changes in practice that improve outcomes for children.  We aim to make sure those changes are properly researched, implemented and securely embedded before moving on to new objectives.

The four areas of the SDP; Quality of education, leadership and management, personal development and behaviour and attitudes are all lead or partially lead by a member of the senior leadership team. Middle leaders, both pathway leaders and subject leaders create their own action plans that are derived from objectives from the SDP as well as their own identifications of key priority areas in the subject or pathway they lead.

The SDP document will illustrate in the first instance the overview intent, implementation and impact of each of the priority areas and then further priority areas. There is then subsequently a more detailed implementation plan for each of these. This has been designed in this manner to ensure that all stakeholders are clear about whole school development and improvements on a termly basis.
