Search: Treasure Chest

Such a shame we cannot be together to start our new topic, ‘Kings, queens and all things royal’. I hope you are getting lots of opportunities to play and explore at home. On the curriculum map this half term I have tried to be more detailed on what we would be doing in school so you can use these ideas at home. Lots of sensory castle play ideas, making crowns and food exploration.
Videos to watch
I have found some videos that may be nice for your children to watch as an introduction and to develop their understanding on this topic.
Here are some ideas you may like to try at home to keep your children busy and still learning. These are all ideas which will not require a printer. I have also added an easy biscuit recipe we have been using this half term during our cookery lesson so you to make at home with your child if you wish. Please adapt the activities if you don’t have all the resources at home. Will upload some more ideas which require a printer. Continue to stay safe and take care.

Hello and welcome back to school. My name is Dawn-Rose and I am the class teacher for woodpecker class this year. We have 1 TA 3 who is Sharon and 2 TA's Samantha and Kelly. There are 3 boys and 5 girls in Woodpecker class and they are settling in well. Our topic this half term is 'Get ready, stay safe, be healthy' and we will be learning all about our bodies, sports, healthy eating, personal safety and hygiene. This week we have been focusing on our bodies learning all about our facial features.
Our book this half term is spot goes to the farm. The children have already begun recognising the sounds of different farm animals and their names.
I look forward to seeing you at the Meet the Parents event in a few weeks time and please keep looking back to see further updates.
