Hello parents and children of Gold Class!
The team hope you are keeping safe and healthy inside your own homes at this time and that your children are helping out at home where they can as well as getting lots of fresh air outside. It has been lovely to speak with you on the telephone and from the sound of it you are all doing a fabulous job with your children at home in these circumstances, well done to you all - keep up the good work!
We will contact you each week for a ‘check in’ to see how you are getting on and if there is anything we can help with.

Autumn 2
Gold Class Update
This half term we have been busy in Gold Class with lots of different activities and lessons.
To link with our fairy tales maths we handled a range of 3D building materials, such as wooden blocks, Lego and cubes. We used these to build our own castles.
In English we wrote our own ball invites linked to the story of Cinderella, then dressed up and had a class ball with music and dancing.
Our cookery this half term was curries and the class made a variety of vegetarian curries which they enjoyed eating.
To link with fireworks night we had some fun in science making fireworks in a jar by mixing oil, food colouring and water.
In topic we explored light and built our own circuits with batteries, bulbs, wires, motors and buzzers.
The class had fun at Winter Wonderland. The children made ribbon trees to sell on our class stall and enjoyed visiting Santa.

Autumn 1
Habitat WOW Afternoon
Pictures from our Wow afternoon, when the children visited 4 habitats in the year group and took part in different activities in each room.
Topic ICT
In topic ICT we designed our own minibeasts to link with Woodland week.
Topic Art
Our class display board showing all the fantastic topic art we have created in the last 6 weeks.
Maths

Monkey Puzzle

Veggie Burgers
We’ve been making veggie burgers in cookery. The class have been practising their skills and have enjoyed trying what they make each week.
Let me introduce you to Gold Class… I am Jenny the class teacher, Dil is our TA3 and we have our teaching assistants Claire, Katie and Afjol. The pupils in Gold class are: Maryam, Amy-Leigh, Eliza, Zainab, Idrees, Joel and Aayan. Please check our web page to see what we’ve been up to in class.
