Hello Flamingo Class

Welcome to Summer term. I will be sending you some ideas for activities for you to do at home this half term - in the meantime we have found that the Makaton website is offering some free resources to support with signing. Well worth a look - click the link below.

Easter Activities

Here are 14 Easter themed activities we have selected which we think would be lots of fun during the holidays - children can do as many (or little) as they like. Maybe even one a day?

Sensory Play Materials

Here are some great recipes for sensory play materials such as playdough, slime and some taste safe options such as edible sand, taste safe paint and coloured salt. All perfect for mark making and simple sensory play.
Enjoy!

Our Favourite Songs

In Flamingo Class, we use videos/songs to give children additional cues for a lesson e.g. using the brushing teeth song while we brush our teeth. I have compiled some of our timetabled songs as well as a few class favourites in this document. Please feel free to use them while at home too.

Animal Boogie Song

Here is a link to the Animal Boogie song the book we have been studying this half term.  Please share this with your child before completing the worksheets provided in your homework pack.

Dough Disco

At school the children regularly take part in dough disco to help develop their finger strength and fine motor skills. Here are some videos you can try with your child. These could be done once a day as repetition is great!
