  • Talking Textures Experience

    Fri 12 Feb 2016

Years 5 & 6 finished their talking textures topic in style this afternoon.

Friends and family turned up in numbers to explore the textures they had been learning about.

Here are a few photos of the afternoon.

  • Filming at elearning@luton

    Wed 10 Feb 2016

We are at the elearning@luton centre today filming 'The Tiger Who Came for Tea' as a finale for the 'Come dine with me' topic years 3 & 4 have been doing this half term.

Elearning@luton has some great technology available that we can access. With that in mind we will be using green screen and special effects to bring the performance to life.

  • Busy final week

    Tue 09 Feb 2016

We have such a lot to pack in this week.

    Today's highlights are:

    • A Cinderella performance for the whole school this morning in the hall,
    • Years 3 & 4 - Come dine with me topic finale this afternoon.
    • Years 5 & 6 are having an inter class pancake race later on this afternoon.
  • World Book Day at RHS

    Tue 02 Feb 2016

World Book Day takes place on Thursday 3rd March 2016 this year.

As you are aware, at Richmond Hill, we like to ‘loiter with a story’ throughout each half-term, spending much time familiarising ourselves with the words and pictures of a book for a length of time, not just for one day.

However, we would also like to celebrate World Book Day and we are encouraging both children and staff to dress up as characters from books, stories or rhymes - superheroes are welcome!

There are lots of ideas on websites – please do not feel you have to provide anything new, shop-bought or particularly elaborate. A couple of webpages for ideas are http://www.netmums.com/activities/dressing-up-ideas/world-book-day-dressing-up-ideas andhttp://www.theguardian.com/childrens-books-site/gallery/2015/feb/16/what-to-wear-on-world-book-day-2015
