  • Years 5&6 Fete Went Well

    Fri 24 Jun 2016

After a wet start to the day, we were thinking the years 5 & 6 fete in the afternoon would be a wash out.

After lunch when it was time to set up, the rain had stopped and the forecast looked OK. Full steam ahead with the fete!

It was great to see so many parents showing their support and attending. The children looked so proud showing their friends and family around and were pretty good at getting their parents to spend money too!

We are not sure how much money was raised so we will keep you posted when the figure gets in.

    Thanks again for your support.

  • Empty Classroom Day 2016

    Fri 17 Jun 2016

Empty Classroom Day is a day to celebrate and inspire learning and play outside the classroom.

We have kicked the day off with an aerobic session and classes have lots of fun things planned for the rest of the day.

  • National Smile Month

    Mon 13 Jun 2016

We are getting involved with 'National Smile Month' and we have lots of teeth related work over the next two weeks.

This morning families have been invited in for a talk about oral heath care. We hope working together will enable the children to have a consistent approach to teeth brushing techniques at school and at home meaning teeth stay healthy for longer.

As always we have lots of things planned. Our expressive arts room has been transformed into a dentists called 'Millers Molars'.

We will be watching the Teeth the Musical DVD, which contains stories, songs and activities.

The children will be learning the importance of brushing your teeth and will be getting a chance to practise after snacks/dinner.

  • Tea Party for the Queen

    Mon 06 Jun 2016

On Thursday we are holding a tea party for the Queens birthday.

There will be sandwich's, biscuits and cake for the children to enjoy.

As it is a special day we would like the children to come in wearing either red, white or blue to help get into the party spirit.

More information will be going home in home/school books today.
