  • Switch off day!

    As part of our eco-school work we have taken part in Switch Off Day today. The school council have carried out a survey to ensure we are being as eco-friendly as possible. Today the children have made a real effort to ensure classroom lights are off when they leave the room and computers are turned off or on standby when not being used.

    Today we had Tommy a 22 year old Autistic man come in to present his presentation Autism and how it sucks 2 to our parents. It was very well received and we look forward to inviting Tommy back again soon.

    We are please to announce that we raised a fantastic £334.58 for Children in Need! The first of our fantastic fundraising initiatives for this year. 
  • Book Trust visit

    Book trust 'culture4Schools' came to read a story to our reception children and gave them all a free book to take home.
  • Values- co-operation

    Today was the start of our celebration of values. Elliot led year 4/5’s assembly where the children learnt about co-operation and had a go at working as part of a team. Certificates will be awarded this week to pupils who have demonstrated co-operation so far this half term. 
  • Children In Need

    Both children and staff had a wonderful day on Friday to raise lots of money for Children In Need. We dressed up and took part in lots of fun activities such as pin the spots on Pudsey, spotty discos and face painting. The tuck shop at West managed to raise a fantastic £56!
