  • Cookery Lessons in School

    Wed 16 Nov 2016

Each class has a cookery slot once a week. We have been lucky enough to cook with ingredients grown in our school garden such as courgettes, carrots and potatoes.

Sometimes the garden can't produce what you want to cook such as Blueberry Muffins!

We use tried and tested recipes and encourage all children to participate in the lesson.

Some classes use symbols as visual prompts. If really helps our non readers greatly.

Each week the children stick the recipe into their cookery books and cut out and stick in the main ingredients to the page. On the opposite side to the recipe are photos of the child who's book it belongs too.
